I became interested in photographing people while working at One Hour Photo in Hamilton, Montana; which prompted me to take photography classes in Missoula. I purchased the One Hour Photo business in 1998 and began doing portraits in the studio.

When the industry changed to digital in 2003, I closed the business and began doing freelance portrait photography.

My daughter, Tabatha, was born in 2006 and I took two years off from photography. She was born medically fragile and needed my full love and attention. Tabatha is now very healthy and attending kindergarten.

I am now able to devote my "extra" time to my passion - portrait photography - and have a portable studio, but prefer outdoor settings; which our beautiful Bitterroot Valley allows during all seasons of the year.
